Last month, on February 27, Greenpeace sent a questionnaire to Quebec’s main political parties. These were invited to answer 17 questions pertaining to the environment. We asked the respondents to ring the letter that best matched their answer. They were also free to comment all or some of their answers.

Every YES was worth ONE (1) point out of a total of 17 points. We did not allow any point for any other kind of answer. Greenpeace summarised and produced general comments on the results of all the political formations under headings that regrouped the themes mentioned in the questionnaire.

Finally, the final note was weighted according to factors taken from a Greenpeace evaluation chart, including the degree of willingness of the parties to carry on their promises and the clarity of their commitments, the feasibility of the strategies put forward, the accuracy of the statements, the measures proposed, etc. It should be noted that the purpose of the questionnaire was to provide information about the beliefs and processes belonging to the main political parties’ platforms, so that our members can be better informed and prepared.
